We no longer feel CURSED!!! The wishing STARS finally gave us another opportunity to life…

I know a strong capable woman who can change the world. This woman is smart, strong-willed, and ready to create a lasting impact in the global space. Sadly, this woman isn’t WHITE and so, the world thinks she might not be of great benefit.

The world is beginning to feel her impact. The world hears of her exploits and they are marveled. Sadly this woman isn’t WHITE and so, they do not let news of her exploits go so far.

Because the woman I know isn’t WHITE, she is considered not worthy enough!

In our traditional home, that strong woman I know is always brought so low. The men in our society tell her not to talk too much, not to go around too much, and to always let men speak for her. Sadly, this woman is FEMALE and so, our society thinks she should not be seen.

After making food for her husband and laying the children to rest, she finds her way to a secluded place and takes a book and a pen to write all she has nursed in her heart for so long. Sadly, her husband sees her, tears the book in anger, and tells her that her stories should never be read.

A meeting has been called by her husband. It’s a family meeting! Her father is there, her mother, brothers, and her only sister. Her maternal and paternal uncles have also been asked to join the meeting. There is so much tension here, you could feel it from a distance! The agenda of this meeting is simple. Tell your daughter that women have absolutely no place in this society!

Because the woman I know is FEMALE, our society thinks that ‘behind the home’ is where she should be when salient matters are being discussed!

WE ARE NOT LOST!

One day, that woman’s mother looked at her daughter with tears in her eyes. As a mother, she could tell that her daughter isn’t an ordinary woman. She held her hands tightly, walked straight to her husband’s face, handed her daughter to her husband and said:

“if she wants to speak, let the world give her an opportunity to be heard. And if she wants to write, let our society give her an opportunity of being read. If she wants to manage your business or start hers, give her a chance at business and enterprise. If she wants to be anything good, let us all give her the opportunity to be herself…”

My daughter is dying in pain, she is losing her mind. She’s suffering on both global and local levels. Can’t you see it??

Because the woman I know is BLACK and FEMALE, the world thinks she lost…

Today, she no longer feels cursed for she isn’t the woman the world used to know. She’s Black and Female but the world now celebrates her for who she is.

She has not just paved the way for herself but for millions of her kind. I’m a product of HER. More than anything else, we are proud of whom we have become…
